Pros:

1) Free continental breakfast one morning (delicious muffins, yogurt, apples, banana, orange juice); Wolfgang Puck coffee and coffee maker in the room.

2) A barn! The barn is a hangout area for guests complete with piano, chess/cheker table, books, and VHS/DVD movies to borrow and play in your own room.  The barn also has a stash of packets to make hot cocoa.  A fridge is also in the barn stocked with water and sodas for a nominal donation (honors system here!).

3) Attentive staff.  We met Jim who gave us tons of great information on the restaurants in town and provided us with maps and guides so we could easily navigate.  Each cabin comes with a bottle of wine, but when we mentioned we don’t drink, a bottle of Martinelli’s apple cider appeared on our door step.  How sweet is that!

4)  The location is definitely quiet–perfect for getting away from the city.  It’s fun to explore the creek, take a seat in one of many chairs, benches, or hammocks that are on the property and watch the squirrels and rabbits.

5) Cozy cabins!  Each night we had a fire log delivered to our cabin.  It was perfect to cuddle up with the fireplace going.

Cons:

1) WiFi is a bit spotty on the property, but works great in the barn.  Cell phone coverage is spotty as well.

2)  The heaters in each unit definitely provide warmth, but can be a tad noisy as they crackle and pop.

Overall this was a great experience for us and we would definitely recommend it!

We chose to have our wedding in Idyllwild and we researched different Inns located nearby to make sure we chose the right one. We saw plenty of places some too small and others that were not professi0nal at all. We came across Quiet Creek and from the start loved it! They showed us around their facilities and took their time to answer our questions. We rented out the rooms to accomadate both our families and make it a wedding to remember. Everything was pretty inexpensive in comparison to palm springs where we live. Jim kept in touch with us via email to make sure everything was ready for our special day. We got married Novemeber 10th and the weather couldn’t have been any better. It was absolutely gorgeous! There was snow just covering the highest peaks of the mountains and the leaves were all different yellows, oranges, reds and violets.The Quiet creek grounds is a truly beautiful place to stay. There were squirrels everywhere and blue stellars flying around. We were so happy to have both our families stay there with us. We had pizza the night before and got to socialize with everyone below the barn loft where they had a fridge, stove and assortments of coffee, tea, hot chocolate. It felt like a family get together out in the woods away from everything. They were very cooperative and helpful with our wedding. We had our ceremony below the barn loft outside (although a little chilly, still bearable) We had our reception indooors due to colder weather but everything turned out great! All the Quiet creek staff were very nice and pleasant to work with. They keep there rooms clean and tidy. They had service the next morning to refill any amenities we needed. Our wedding was everyting we had hoped for. The Quiet Creek Inn was the best place to have our special day at. We just want to say thank you to Jim and Duffy who helped bartend at our wedding and everyone else at Quiet Creek Inn! This will definitely be our getaway place and forever a special memory in our hearts!

From Palm Springs

My spouse and I went on this trip together just to get away from the city for a couple of days. We sure did pick the right place. Quiet creek inn is placed on a nice little piece of land surrounded by the forest and a small creek. The cabins are very cute and perfect for a couple or even a family depending on what kind of room you get. I love that you have your own deck and small kitchen area. The old school fire place is a great touch too. They even have a barn that has been converted into a two story kind of recreational building. Yoga on the top level which they offer classes for (the woman is an awesome instructor). Then on the bottom of the barn they have a kitchen and sitting room. You can play the piano, rent a movie, read a book or use the computer for some emails. It’s very cool that they offer all that I think. Oh and the staff is so friendly! Wonderful down to earth people. We are planning on going back next winter as well.

Jim B. Mission Viejo

This was my first time to Idyllwild and have completely fallen in love, with much help from Quiet Creek Inn.

I stayed in cabin #6, which is a one-bedroom king suite with a kitchenette (2-burner stove, small sink and small fridge), and an amazing wrap-around patio. There are walkways from every cabin to the creek, where there are chairs so you can relax in the woods.

Everyone who works here is super kind, and one of them regularly feeds squirrels, which was really sweet to spy. Another cute perk of this inn was the “barn,” which houses a few videos and DVDs you can borrow, a fridge full of soda you can buy for a dollar (on the honor system), a piano, and a bunch of board games.

There are a few campgrounds and hiking trails within walking distance, and the town – which includes restaurants, shops and even a couple of markets – is just a few miles away.

The whole place is relaxing, quiet and peaceful. Idyllwild is about 15 degrees cooler than pretty much anywhere else in SoCal, and during the winter it snows. I just loved it.
