We’ve stayed in the duplex cabins a couple of times and they’re really nice.  Since the place is off the beaten track, it is quiet.  About the only thing you hear at night is Strawberry Creek. The cabins have patios overlooking the creek that are great for kicking back after a long day of hiking.  Another plus for this place is that it’s practically adjacent to Idyllwild County Park. This time of year the oaks, willows, poplars and cottonwoods put on a show.
