Cabin in the woods
The cabin was in a great location and larger than we thought from the photos. Very quiet, nice views of Lily Rock. Very large and comfortable sleeping area and a great king bed. Nice area for sitting or reading outside.
The one downside was a mini-refrigerator which would be fine for a couple of nights but we were there for a little over a week and had to keep our ice chest filled to maintain our food. We had an entire bag of lettuce ruined in the refrigerator. So cooking was a bit of a challenge between the refrigerator and a very small kitchen. For a short stay or mostly eating prepared foods, it would be fine.
There’s a great potbelly stove in the sleeping area and a tremendous stone fireplace in the living room. It was cold enough one morning to use the potbelly and it really heated the entire cabin very well.
Other than that, well thought out, good location, convenient but far enough away from town to be very quiet and a 5 minute drive from everything. Also, it is only 5 minutes to get up to the Ernie Maxwell Trail with our dog who was very happy about that!
