I surprised my boyfriend with an overnight getaway with the dogs. We arrived at the Quiet Creek Inn and were kindly greeted by Jim. We were shown around, told where things were, signed a quick receipt and given the key. The cabin was clean, spacious, cozy and perfect. Well priced for an overnight cabin with private porch, balcony, kitchenette, creek view and the possibility to bring your dogs. Squirrels were everywhere yet not bothersome. Duck swam around the creek yet we never heard them quack. We grabbed a bottle of wine and sat at the rustic, picnic style chairs and breathed in the Idylwild air. It was so peaceful and serene, I forgot about all else. When we went back into the cabin, the heater kept the room oh so toasty and turned on basketball finals on the beautiful flat screen. I walked over to the barn looking room that had free coffee, hot chocolate and water. Sodas and Gatorades available for one dollar on the honor system. We made dinner and slept in the oh so comfortable bed. We awoke Easter morning and put peanuts on the balcony railing. Within minutes, squirrels and blue jays were swooping in for the treats. We took a hike down along the creek and stumbled along some vacant campgrounds. We saw a few bunnies and more squirrels. The dogs loved running around and we loved the peace and serenity of the Inn. I would definitely recommend the Quiet Creek Inn, just as it was recommended to me!
