Denney,
I just wanted to let you know we had an amazing visit this Easter Weekend. You have an incredibly beautiful HOME and I capitilize home, because it is just that. You can feel the love in the house. Our family started quite a few new traditions this Easter and hopefully one of them will be to return to your home every April. I personally loved reading the folder that you put together about your wonderful little town on the “Hill” and your letters to the Editor on all things important in our lives and our children’s. I assume that the handwritten child’s note about the egg hunt and the “chokolit” was written by your daughter and it left my heart filled with the excitement of being able to frame my daughters first phonetically written notes. I have a strong love for nature photography and your husbands’ and the other artists’ work that you have displayed in your home are phenomenal.
My daughter, Rylee, has never been in the snow and the forecast looked as if it was going to be a beautiful weekend in Idyllwild, so we planned on long walks. We arrived early Friday afternoon and were able to walk the property and slide down the slide before it started to rain, then hail and eventually SNOW! About 3 inches later we bundled her up and she was able to have her first snowball fight with her Dad, Uncle and Grambee, build her first “SNOW COUPLE” depicting our newly married cousin and her hubby, make her first snow angel with Mom and slide down the slide into a pile of snow that was lovingly packed by her Uncle Buzzard (Rob).
I am probably sharing too much, but it really did feel like we were staying at a relative’s house.
Thank you for opening your home to let others enjoy your beautiful community on the Hill.
Kindest regards,
Kristin and family
